Terms of Service

1. Service Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the First Cordon Talos V3 operator portal, monitoring dashboard, alert management platform, and associated software services (collectively, the "Platform"). These Terms are in addition to, and should be read alongside, First Cordon's Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

2. Account Access and Security

Access to the Platform is restricted to authorised personnel as designated by the client organisation. Users are responsible for: (a) maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials; (b) immediately notifying First Cordon of any unauthorised access or suspected breach; (c) ensuring that access is only granted to personnel who have completed First Cordon's required training; (d) not sharing credentials between users. First Cordon reserves the right to suspend or revoke access to any account at any time if misuse or a security risk is identified.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Platform for any purpose other than lawful security monitoring within your authorised premises; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models or software; (c) use alert data or footage for any purpose beyond immediate security response; (d) resell, sublicense, or provide third-party access to the Platform without written authorisation from First Cordon; (e) attempt to interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure; (f) use automated tools to access or scrape Platform data.

4. Alert Response Protocol

Verified alerts issued through the Platform are intended for trained security personnel only. Clients are responsible for establishing and maintaining an appropriate alert response protocol, including: training staff on threat response procedures; ensuring response personnel hold any required licences or certifications in their jurisdiction; not escalating alerts to law enforcement without an appropriate verified basis; documenting all responses to verified alerts for audit purposes. First Cordon's human operators verify alerts before transmission but the client retains full responsibility for all response decisions.

5. Service Availability

First Cordon targets high availability for the Platform but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance where possible. In the event of service disruption, clients must revert to their documented manual security protocols. First Cordon is not liable for any loss or damage arising from periods of service unavailability, whether scheduled or unplanned.

6. Data Retention

Alert data, operator notes, and associated metadata are retained for a period of 90 days by default. Footage is not stored by First Cordon; it is processed in transit only unless a specific data retention agreement is in place. Clients may request extended data retention periods subject to a separate data processing agreement and applicable fees. Upon termination of service, all client data held by First Cordon will be deleted within 30 days unless otherwise required by law.

7. Updates and Changes to the Platform

First Cordon continuously develops and updates Talos V3. Updates may be applied automatically and without prior notice where they are essential to security, performance, or legal compliance. Significant changes to core functionality will be communicated to clients. Clients may not opt out of security-critical updates.

8. Third-Party Integrations

The Platform may support integration with third-party security systems, access control platforms, or communications tools. First Cordon is not responsible for the performance, reliability, or data practices of any third-party systems. Any integration is at the client's risk, and clients must ensure third-party systems comply with applicable data protection requirements.

9. Feedback

If you provide First Cordon with feedback regarding the Platform, you grant First Cordon a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use that feedback for any purpose, including improving the service. You waive any moral rights in such feedback to the extent permitted by law.

10. Suspension and Termination

First Cordon may immediately suspend Platform access without notice if: (a) fees are overdue by more than 14 days; (b) there is evidence of a material breach of these Terms; (c) there is a credible security threat to the Platform or other clients. Suspension does not waive First Cordon's right to terminate or pursue outstanding obligations.

11. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and any executed service agreement or statement of work, constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the Platform. They supersede all prior representations, negotiations, and agreements.
